Type of Work:
Magnum Electric is seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Specialist to join our team in our West Fargo office. We have multiple offices in four states with our headquarters in West Fargo, ND. As the frontline face to our technology department, you will resolve technical issues and empower our team to succeed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- System Maintenance: Install, configure, and repair computers and peripherals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in a ticketing system.
- User Support & Escalation: Guide users through troubleshooting steps and escalate complex issues to higher-level support.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years in IT support or a mix of education and experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking basics, and Microsoft 365. QuickBooks and Apple iPad knowledge a plus.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong, friendly telephone manner.
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive learner, and capable of following documented procedures
