Summary
Magnum Electric is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects (including large-scale data centers). This role partners with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to keep projects organized, documented, and moving—covering submittals, RFIs, procurement tracking, change management support, and coordination.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Warehouse Management:
- Support PMs with day-to-day project administration and field coordination
- Manage and log RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and closeout documents
- Track materials/equipment procurement, lead times, and deliveries; coordinate with vendors
- Assist with change order documentation (scope, pricing support, backups)
- Maintain accurate project files: meeting minutes, transmittals, correspondence, logs
- Coordinate drawings/specs distribution; help ensure the field is working from current documents
- Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and progress reporting
- Participate in project meetings and communicate action items to stakeholders
- Support quality and safety documentation as required
General Requirements:
- 4+ years in electrical construction OR applicable degree/experience
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); comfort with document control
- Able to read construction drawings and specifications (willing to learn if newer)
Preferred Requirements:
- Electrical construction experience (commercial/industrial/data center)
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk/BIM, or similar platforms
- Basic understanding of estimating, takeoffs, or cost tracking
